Pocono Palace 01 is a part of a series of four medium format film photographs. The series is called the “Portal Series.” All four photos were taken with the use of mirrors at Cove Haven’s Pocono Palace Resort before it closed May 2nd, 2024.

Pocono Palace 01 captures a portion of a round bed and pink heart shaped tub through a wall mirror. The foreground mirror and secondary mirror surrounding the tub create a warped perspective.

Pocono Palace 01 and the Portal Series are part of a larger in-process archival project, tentatively titled Honeymoon.
